Eligibility criteria for Netherlands’ Self-Employment Visa

The Netherlands Self-Employment Visa uses a points-based system to assess your eligibility, a program laid out by the RVO.

• Awaiting approval: The IND will always make a decision within 90 days (three months), and this is typically the time frame you’ll hear back in. However, the decision can be extended up to six months, depending on whether the RVO or OCW needs to be involved in the decision-making process.

• Receive decision: Often, within 90 days, you’ll receive the decision via letter. Upon approval, you’ll receive a residence permit allowing you to start work in the Netherlands.
